The Elves' Village is another charming place in Santa's Village, where you can immerse yourself in the world of his friendly helpers. What is now Santa Claus Village originated in 1950, when First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt decided to visit Rovaniemi to see first-hand the progress of post-war reconstruction. During her visit to the capital of Finnish Lapland, the First Lady also expressed her desire to cross the Arctic Circle. A hut built on the Arctic Circle to celebrate Roosevelt's welcoming ceremony would be the beginning of a theme park dedicated to Santa Claus that attracts visitors from around the world with its fairy-tale Christmas spirit.

Welcome to Finland!
